“在養正,不是哪里不舒服就只做哪里。因为痛点,不一定就是起点。”

“At Better Wellness, we don’t treat only the spot that hurts — because the tender point is not always where the problem starts.”

That was the first thing I wanted to get clear before I started Better Wellness 養正.

I have seen it many times: a tight shoulder gets a shoulder massage, a sore lower back gets work on the back. It feels better that day, and a few days later it is back. The problem is usually not at the point that hurts most — it is in the body as a whole: how you sit, which side you habitually favour, where your weight sits when you walk, how you breathe. Small things accumulate, and the body starts using pain to get your attention.

So Better Wellness does not sell “massage where it hurts”. The first thing we do is a whole-body assessment: we look at how you stand, sit and walk, work out where the real starting point is, and only then begin hands-on work.

What we provide is non-medical manual therapy, covering:

  • Whole-body assessment
  • Postural and structural work
  • Neck and shoulder release
  • Lower back and waist relief
  • Knee and lower-limb care
  • Left–right postural balance
  • Ongoing support for recurring discomfort

There are boundaries I want to state plainly, because they matter to both of us: we do not do acupuncture, cupping, or any treatment that breaks the skin or is invasive. We do not diagnose illness, we do not replace medical care, and we do not promise outcomes. If you have a diagnosed condition, acute pain or an injury, please see a doctor first — within what your doctor allows, we can help with day-to-day discomfort and postural issues.

Better Wellness is at Far East Plaza on Orchard Road, open daily from 10:00 to 22:00. On your first visit we sit down and talk through your situation before deciding where to begin today — sometimes we will even tell you that you do not need a long session.

This website is also the first place where I have written our approach out in full. From here I will keep sharing what we understand about posture, body structure and everyday care, and record what our team is learning and training on. We will not exaggerate, and we will not promise what we cannot deliver.

If you are troubled by discomfort that keeps coming back, send us a short WhatsApp message and tell us briefly what is going on. We will tell you honestly what we can help with — and what we cannot.
